   Discuss scheduling, transportation, interpretation and communication with the provider.

   What May Be Useful Before a Visit

   • Provider or clinic name and appointment date, if you have them
   • Coverage information, if available, to discuss with staff
   • Your preferred language and transportation needs

   You do not need to send these details in your first message.

   Do not send medical records through ordinary email or text. CIS coordinates practical access; ask a qualified clinician for medical advice.

   Understand Coverage

   Staff can help navigate coverage applications, understand bills and plan information, find in-network providers and work through administrative barriers. The relevant agency or insurer decides eligibility and coverage.

   CIS does not currently pay healthcare costs directly. Staff may help identify charitable or other financial-assistance resources case by case.

   Follow Up

   Assistance can include appointment scheduling, reminders, transportation, interpretation, forms and communication with providers.
